| Chapter 2 Installing and setting
The mechanism will ship from our factory in a normal operating configuration.
Switch Setting
· Open-Close Dip to correct mode with Normal Open (NO) and Normal Close (NC), usually use Normal Open

Fast: 25ms (short pulse signal)
Medium: 45ms (medium pulse signal)
Slow: 65ms (long pulse signal)
· Adjust setting DIP set the acceptor to work mode (adjust to Start) or set the programme mode (adjust to set)
· Coin-value setting button which for adjusting the coin's value in programme mode (Adjust setting DIP in Set position)
· Sensitive Dip, in working mode, it is for accepting the coin' s sensitive degree.
Connection description
A: None

D: Red line-DC12V
Setting Description
a) Erase the previous all coin channels values setting
Adjust the sensitive Dip to the “NOM” position
Adjust the setting DIP to the “SET” position enter programming mode, LED display “00”
Keep press the Coin-value setting button more than 5 seconds until you will be hear a “BI”
sound and LED will display “C”, this means all the coin value setting is erased
Adjust the setting DIP to the “START” position, exiting programming mode
b) Erase the previous one coin channel values setting
Note: This is only for advance user.
Adjust the sensitive DIP to the “NOM” position
Adjust the setting DIP to the “SET” position, entering programming mode, LED display “00”
Press the Coin-value setting button to adjust the coin value in turn and let the LED display the
value, which you want to erase.
Keep press the Coin-value setting button for more than 5 seconds until you will be hear a “BI”
sound and LED will display “C”, this means this coin channel value setting is erased
Adjust the setting DIP to the “START” position, exitingf programming mode
Coin-Value Setting Description
One Coin, One (Multi) pulse mode
Adjust the Setting DIP to the “SET” position, enter programming mode
Adjust the sensitive DIP to the “NOM” position, LED display “ 00”
Press the Coin-value setting button to adjust the coin value in turn and let the LED display
the value, which you needed, for example “ 01” or “ 02” . The value increase 1 upon 1
press. If you passed the value you want to set, just adjust the setting switch to “ START” then adjust back to “SET” again the LED will display “ 00” , so you can select the value again.
Feed the sample coins in turn, you can program up to 10 coins .If less than 10 coins can add and store later. For example you can prepare 10 quarters as different condition as possible. Or you can feed 10 same or different tokens.
Repeat above to set other coin group values.
Adjust the setting switch to the “START” position to exit programming mode,
Multi coins, one pulse mode
Adjust the sensitive DIP to the “NOM” position
Adjust the Setting DIP to the “SET” position, enter programming mode, LED display “ P2”
Press the Coin-value setting button to adjust the coin value in turn and let the LED display
the value, which you needed, for example “P 2” or “P 3” . The value adds 1 upon 1 press. If you passed the value you want to set, just adjust the setting switch to “ START” then adjust back to “SET” again the LED will display “P 2” , so you can select the value again.
Feed the sample coins in turn, you can program up to 10 types of coins .If less than 10 types, you can add and store later. For example you can you can feed 10 same type or different types of coin or tokens.
Repeat above to set other coin channel values.
Adjust the setting switch to the “START” position to exit programming mode
Note: Gangdu 315 model multi-coin acceptor can memory MAX. 5 channels of coin value at the same time, including One Coin, One (Multi) pulse mode and Multi coins, one pulse mode.
The sample coins or tokens must be typical of the population of coins or tokens you want to accept. Do not use damaged, bent or excessively worn coin as a sample coin or token.
Chapter 3 Cleaning and Preventive Maintenance
The Gangdu multi-Coin acceptor is made from nickel-plated steel and high strength nylon molded plastic parts. This high security mechanism requires tighter tolerances within the mechanical assemblies of the product and its control of the coins being processed through it. Keeping the mechanism clean is important for long term, trouble free operation. Debris such as cigarette or cigar smoke (tar and nicotine), ashes, coin dust, liquor, soft drinks, and cleaning fluids easily adhere themselves to critical areas within the coin mechanism. This debris can affect the sliding sensor coil, the operation of the accept gate, and the speed of the coin through the device. Any of these can have an adverse affect on proper coin validation. Use the following guidelines to keep the mechanism clean and trouble free.
When cleaning the outside face of a machine, prevent liquid and spray cleaning solution from entering the mechanism via the coin slot by blocking or covering the coin slot when cleaning. If the coin slot is not blocked, the cleaning fluid will combine with all other debris that enters through the coin slot and congeal into a sticky film that will inhibit coin acceptance.
Clean any spilled drinks from the mechanism as soon as possible to prevent buildup of debris. A mild solution of dishwashing detergent will remove drinks. The circuit boards must not be exposed to the dishwasher solution. They must be removed and be cleaned if necessary with circuit board flux remover or a combination of isopropyl alcohol and freon.
Cigarette and cigar smoke can be removed with a general-purpose lens cleaner used for
eyeglasses. This cleaner can also be used on mechanisms with a build-up of film from spray
cleaning.
After any cleaning it is important to wipe any excess solution from the mechanism then buff or blow-dry with clean compressed air.
The sensor coil assembly should be removed from the metal mainplate and carefully cleaned around the periphery of the two parts where they slide against each other.
Never use any oils, wax, or petroleum based solvents or sprays to clean the Comparitor.
The environment determines frequency of cleaning. Once every 3 months is a safe cleaning schedule. If the environment is heavily smoked filled with a large volume of coin play, then a more frequent schedule may be necessary.
